Barcelona, November 15th 2006

A technical Symposium organised by the Departament de Política Territorial i Obres Públiques (Ministry of Town and Country Planning and Public Works) of the Government of Catalonia together with the Fundació Territori i Paisatge, held in the Caixa Catalunya Auditorium (in the La Pedrera building). The symposium focuses on analysing the Study and Report on Landscape Integration as new instruments intended to contribute to making sure that the use of the territory and the necessary maintenance of quality landscapes may be compatible with each other, in accordance with the aims of the Law on the Protection, Management and Planning of the Landscape and with the commitment made to implementing the guidelines of the European Landscape Convention.
