Peoplescapes: different perspectives on public space

10 November 2016
Sala Carbonera of the Main Theatre. Olot

Public space is a social space by definition and truly becomes a common good when the population makes it their own, appropriates it, and turns it into a place of encounter and generation of sociability. Often, however, there is a paradox that certain interventions to dignify public space encourage dynamics that diminish and restrict this aforementioned sociability. The conference aims to debate the dilemmas and contradictions of this process.
