In a tired and accelerated world, where noise is always present and silence is absent, more and more people are looking for a landscape in which they can rediscover themselves or through which, simply, they can escape the pressure they live with. Some find it in the forest, in the mountains or in inaccessible and half-lost corners facing the sea, where nature manifests itself in a wilder way. That is when the myth of the cabin reappears, surely - and historically - the best embodiment of this growing and incessant search for retreat, shelter, silence. There are, however, those who are able to find these places in everyday landscapes. Thus, specific, and even sporadic, spaces emerge from which to contemplate the landscape or to live with it again on a daily basis, also within cities or on their periphery. Some act as refuge landscapes from which values are claimed and vindicated, which the Landscape Observatory of Catalonia wants to echo.
