Landmarks

Landmarks are elements of the landscape that, due to their location - on high ground or on the plain - and the emotional bond they establish with the local population, constitute key components of the image of a territory and form part of its imaginary. They can be natural, such as unique morphologies (hills, moles, cliffs, islands, etc.); or anthropic, such as population centers with unique physiognomies, or defensive constructions (castles, towers, etc.), religious (hermitages, bell towers, etc.) or civil (lighthouses, telecommunications towers, etc.), among others. A good part of the landmarks treasure various historical, aesthetic and symbolic values.
