Course 'Gestió, intervenció i valorització del paisatge des de l'escala local'
Landscape has a growing interest and presence in society and public policies. It is increasingly seen as a key element of local development and a way to increase the quality of life of citizens, both in urban and rural environments. Landscape policies and strategies at the local level offer an alternative way of looking at and managing the territory in terms of improving the quality of the landscape and promoting and dynamizing the local area. This is because the landscape acts as a catalyst in many of the challenges facing contemporary society: health, depopulation, climate change and energy transition, social cohesion, food sovereignty, among many others.
To understand the logic and idiosyncrasies of today's landscapes, and to act appropriately, different perspectives and very diverse actors are needed. The aim of this course is to explore, from a local perspective, new forms of management, planning and treatment of the landscapes of the Lleida region, with a focus on urban planning, local revitalization, tourism, or the management of natural spaces and heritage. The course will present cases, tools and methodologies that help build quality landscapes that have a positive impact on the well-being of the population, generate economic opportunities and culturally and socially revitalize the territories.
